Combos and Phenomena (Day of Demiurg 0.0.31)


Hello.

In this update, we've been hard at work and tackled two points on our plan:

We've implemented the mechanics and added two balanced basic combos for the factions - three and four cards of the same type. Now, the situations that arise have less symmetry and reward the player for being attentive. We aim to develop this concept further, enabling users to assemble combos pool for each match and shape their own gaming experience. But first, we have more work to do on unique mechanics for the cards themselves.

The second update introduces phenomena – events that affect the balance over several turns and add a strategic element. You can think of this mechanic like bread – nothing extraordinary, but the game has become richer. It's hard to imagine now how we used to play without it. Furthermore, this feature was conceived as a narrative element. Text quests and story chains are our next development stage.

We aim to thoroughly test the game before release, but if you discover any issues, please don't hesitate to let us know.
